Android 4.4 is the latest version of Android OS released by Google. Google Introduced Android 4.4 KitKat with the launch of its new Flagship Nexus 5, made by LG. Now Google has released the factory image file of Android 4.4 KitKat for its previous Nexus version of devices including Nexus 4. Now using this Android 4.4 KitKat factory image you can easily install Android 4.4 KitKat on your Nexus 4.
Now follow below steps to Install Android 4.4 KitKat factory image on your Nexus 4.
Note: Before you install KitKat 4.4 Factory image on your Nexus, I would like you to know that, If you flash your device with factory image then all the data from your Nexus 4 will erased or deleted. So take complete backup of your data before you proceed with these steps.
Requirements to Install Android 4.4 KitKat Factory Image on Nexus 4:
- Fully Charged Nexus 4 (2012 or 2013 edition)
- Android SDK Installed on your PC. If you don’t have Android SDK Installed then download from here.
Note: Without installing Android SDK on your PC you can’t install this factory image
How to Install Android 4.4 KitKat on Nexus 4:
Step 1: Download Android 4.4 KitKat Factory image for Nexus 4 on your computer
Step 2: Extract the Download Android 4.4 KitKat File
Step 3: Now Put your Nexus 4 in to bootloader mode
- To do this > Power off the device > Press and Hold both Volume Up and Volume Down key and power on the device by pressing power button
Step 4: Now connect your Nexus 4 to your PC via USB cable
Step 5: Now open the folder from extracted files (downloaded in Step 1) and runFlash-all.bat file by double-clicking on it
Step 6: Now the installation process will initialize, wait till it completes
That’s it! If everything went right then you have successfully installed Android 4.4 KitKat Factory image on your Nexus 4. Now just relax and enjoy your all new Nexus 4 running Android 4.4 KitKat.
